Our founder, Nicolas Alcala del Olmo, began his professional career as an Officer in the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office. After the conclusion of the Spanish Civil War he became a refugee in France, which he then later fled during World War II.
Shortly after arriving in Mexico in 1941, he founded Panamericana de Patentes y Marcas, S.C. A year later, he obtained permission from then president, Lazaro Cardenas to practice law in Mexico.
Today, PPM has more than 80 years of experience, both nationally and internationally rendering technical and legal services in the Intellectual Property area, including trademarks, copyrights, patents, utility models, industrial designs, industrial secrets, domain names as well as ecommerce.
